Police Chief Hails Emergence of Core Staff as EFCC Chairman

The appointment of a career operative as Chairman-designate of the EFCC by President Buhari has been hailed as a welcomed idea and proof that the Nigeria Police has discharged its responsibility well in nurturing the agency to maturity.

Assistant Inspector General Police in charge of Zone 10, Sokoto Ali Aji Janga stated this while receiving the Head, EFCC Sokoto Zonal Office Bawa Usman Kaltungo and his team on a courtesy visit in his office, Thursday February 18, 2021.

The AIG disclosed that he was among the pioneer 23 officers that started the EFCC in 2003 and specifically trained and taught the pioneer Course 1 Cadet Officers of the Commission.

He assured the visiting Zonal Head of enhanced cooperation in all ramifications.

Earlier, Kaltungo solicited more cooperation and support from the AIG , adding that the Commission was desirous of leveraging on the strength of the Police .
