The attention of Air Peace has been drawn to the orchestrated attacks on Air Peace in the social media.
Those doing this are advertising their ignorance of how airfare pricing is done.
It has become a pastime for our fellow brothers from the South East to attack Allen Onyema and Air Peace for their selfish ends.
We do not discriminate against South East. It is the same fare that is loaded for all the routes all over Nigeria.
Our fares start from N23,000. It progresses from there to N60,000 which is our highest economy class fare. For an aircraft that carries 136 passengers(12 business class and 124 economy) the fare is allocated as follows: N23,000 – 10seats; N27,500 – 20 seats; N30,000 – 25seats; N33,000- 15seats, N35,000 – 15seats; N42,000 – 10 seats; N47,000- 5seats; N50,000 – 5seats, N55,000 – 5seats and N60,000 – 14seats.
The above fares are loaded in the system for all the destinations- North, East, South and West. No discrimination. If the first 10 seats of N23,000 fare finishes, the system will automatically start showing the next fare which is N27,500. If the allocated seats on this finishes, it will migrate to the next until it gets to the last 14 seats which is N60,000.
So what happens is that as it is getting fuller, the higher fares would be showing up. Now, the Eastern routes, because of traffic, gets sold out faster than some places thereby showing higher fares faster but the other destinations, though slower, will also pay the same higher fares as they get fuller too.
It is highly mischievous of anyone to be accusing Allen Onyema and Air Peace of discrimination. It has become a pastime for people to try to make themselves popular by attacking Air Peace. They will never get that popularity but will surely reap notoriety for their deliberate falsehood.
These promoters of falsehood and evil published to the public a fare of N95,000 to Owerri and published another fare of Kano showing N35,000 for the same date. This is very misleading.
The N95,000 fare is
is not our economy fare but our business class fare. It is very mischievous for anyone to deliberately bring out our highest business class fare for Owerri and juxtapose it against a Kano economy class fare selling at that time, thereby making the unsuspecting reader to think that the Owerri passenger is paying N95,000 for the same class of ticket the Kano person was paying N35,000 for. This is wickedness. Why are our people this way?
Our fares are the cheapest in Nigeria for our type of aircraft.
We believe some of these people are paid to erroneously believe that they can run us down. We populate flights to the south east in order to help them and all we get in return is this devilish attacks, envy and unbridled jealousy against their own.
Even for Christmas season, we do not increase fares. The N60,000 economy ticket is there all year. During the Xmas time, you y empty planes back to lagos from the South East, yet we kept to our all year round economy fare of N60,000.
In order to cause mischief, the promoters of hate state that we favour the north. How could this be true? No government in the South East pays Air Peace a kobo to operate in the region but some Northern states pay for about 70% of the seats covering up to a year to encourage us to operate in their states. We still charge the passengers.
Let our people not hide their envy, jealousy and devilish competition under the pretext of ticket fares. What God Almighty has ordained, no one can change, in Jesus name, amen.
If you see people destroying our systems or beating our staff in any airport in this country, whether North or South, there is 99% chance they are our people!
Is it a crime to come on board at a time there were lack of adequate flights in the region and provided several flights for our people, making transportation easier for them?
Is it a crime to give over 2000 ndi Igbo well paid jobs in an industry they were not adequately found in before Air Peace arrived? Let anyone show us any company employing this number of Ibos in the entire world earning the kind of salaries we pay. No government in Nigeria pays the kind of wages these people earn.
For those who think that they will destroy Air Peace and thereby bring down Allen Onyema, may God forgive them. If only they know that Allen didn’t establish the airline to enrich himself but to provide jobs to the teeming masses of unemployed people, they would hide their faces in shame.
It is equally a delusion for anyone to think that only our people fly.
It is also the pastime now for those who seek cheap social media popularity to use the name Allen Onyema or Air Peace. Allen Onyema has been accused of saying things he never said.
Ndigbo please let us change our ways.
We had a heavy bird strike out of Owerri that destroyed one of the engines as the aircraft was climbing out of Owerri recently. The pilot succeeded in diverting the aircraft to Port Harcourt without any incident. Thanks to God. However, an Igbo brother did a video announcing that Air Peace crashed(God forbid) but that he survived !
