Corporate strategy, communications, and business development professional Obehi Ojeaga has been inducted into the Chartered Institute of Directors (CIoD) Nigeria, marking another significant milestone in her leadership and corporate governance journey.
Announcing her induction, Ojeaga described the experience as both rigorous and transformative, noting that the intensive professional programme reinforced the importance of ethical leadership, accountability, and responsible corporate governance.
According to her, the programme served as a reminder that effective leadership extends beyond delivering business results to embracing the responsibility of making ethical decisions, shaping sound corporate strategy, and serving as a trusted steward of institutions and the people they impact.
She said the induction represents more than the attainment of a professional qualification, describing it as a personal commitment to leadership founded on integrity, accountability, sound judgment, and the development of sustainable institutions.
“This milestone is more than a certificate. It is a commitment—a commitment to leadership grounded in accountability, ethics, sound judgment, and building institutions that last,” Ojeaga stated.
She added that the achievement strengthens her resolve to continue contributing meaningfully across the enterprise, manufacturing, energy, and public policy sectors, with a focus on building resilient organisations capable of delivering long-term value.
Expressing appreciation to the leadership of the Chartered Institute of Directors Nigeria, Ojeaga thanked the Institute’s Governing Council for the opportunity to participate in the programme. She also acknowledged Amina Oyagbola for her mentorship and guidance throughout the process.
In addition, she expressed gratitude to her sponsors, Ayotola Jagun and Dr. Daere Akobo, FCIoD, for their encouragement, professional guidance, and continued support, particularly in advocating her membership of Nigeria’s premier professional body for directors.
