The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has issued an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) to Heliconia–EAN Aero Nigeria Limited, officially authorizing the airline to commence charter flight operations in Nigeria.
The certificate was presented during a formal ceremony held on December 1, 2025, at the NCAA Corporate Headquarters in Abuja. The event was presided over by the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Chris Najomo, who congratulated the airline’s management on the successful completion of the certification process.
Speaking at the ceremony, Capt. Najomo described the certification as a demonstration of Nigeria’s commitment to promoting ease of doing business in the aviation sector, while maintaining strict adherence to safety and operational standards.
“The seamless certification process reflects our resolve to encourage industry growth without compromising safety,” he stated.
The DGCA further assured that the Authority would continue vigorous regulatory oversight of all certified operators, emphasizing the importance of continuous surveillance and compliance with established aviation safety regulations.
According to him, heightened monitoring is essential to sustaining operational excellence and protecting the integrity of Nigeria’s aviation industry.
The issuance of the AOC places Heliconia–EAN Aero Nigeria Limited among the list of licensed air operators in the country, marking a major milestone in the company’s expansion and participation in the Nigerian aviation market.
