Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma , has extended heartfelt greetings to fathers in Imo State and across Nigeria in commemoration of the 2026 Father’s Day, lauding their critical role in shaping families and society.
In a statement released on Sunday, the governor described fatherhood as a noble responsibility that involves building, nurturing, and sustaining stable homes and communities. He commended fathers for their dedication, responsibility, and consistent commitment to fostering a better society.
Uzodinma also offered prayers for fathers, asking for continued strength, wisdom, and grace as they carry out their duties. He emphasized that their role remains indispensable in promoting values that strengthen both family structures and national development.
The governor further noted that ongoing government reforms, policies, and programs aimed at driving economic growth and improving citizens’ quality of life are designed to complement the efforts of fathers in nation-building.
He concluded the message by wishing all fathers a happy Father’s Day celebration.
