The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) welcomed a delegation from the Head-to-Head Debate Committee of the Federal Capital Territory Universal Basic Education Board (FCT UBEB) at its corporate headquarters in Abuja. The delegation, led by Acting Executive Chairman Dr. Alhassan Sule, met with NITDA to explore potential areas of collaboration aimed at enhancing digital literacy among school children.
The Director General of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, was represented by Mr. Oladejo Olawumi, Director of the Information Technology Infrastructure Solutions (ITIS) department. Mr. Olawumi emphasized that this collaboration is a pivotal step in revolutionizing how young Nigerians engage with technology, equipping them with the necessary skills to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
The proposed collaboration aligns with a key pillar of NITDA’s Strategic Roadmap and Action Plan (SRAP 2.0) 2024-2027: to Foster Digital Literacy and Cultivate Talents. This initiative underscores NITDA’s commitment to driving Nigeria’s educational sector forward and preparing the next generation for the demands of the digital age.
