Chairman of Heirs Holdings and renowned African philanthropist Tony O. Elumelu has paid tribute to women across Africa and around the world, acknowledging their critical role in shaping families, institutions, and the continent’s future as part of celebrations marking International Women’s Day.
In a heartfelt message, Elumelu celebrated the women who have influenced his personal and professional journey, beginning with his mother, whose strength and wisdom he said laid the foundation for the man he has become. He also recognised his wife and life partner for her unwavering support and shared vision in building a legacy of impact, as well as his daughters, whom he described as symbols of hope and promise for a brighter future.
Beyond his immediate family, the Nigerian business leader also commended the women working across the Heirs Holdings Group, highlighting their professionalism, leadership, and commitment to driving innovation and social impact within the organisation’s diverse portfolio of companies.
Elumelu emphasised that women continue to play a transformative role in business leadership, entrepreneurship, and community development, noting that their resilience and insight are indispensable to building sustainable institutions and inclusive economies.
