Airtel Nigeria has reinforced its position at the forefront of Nigeria’s digital infrastructure revolution following a high-level inspection tour of the Nxtra Data Centre at Eko Atlantic, a flagship facility set to become the largest data centre in Nigeria.
The inspection was led by Airtel Nigeria CEO, Mr. Dinesh Balsingh, alongside Nxtra by Airtel Africa CEO, Mr. Yashnath Issur, and included key industry stakeholders and members of the media. The visit offered first-hand insight into the scale, readiness, and strategic importance of the facility as Nigeria prepares for a new phase of data-driven growth.
The Nxtra Data Centre is a 34-megawatt, state-of-the-art digital infrastructure hub, purpose-built to support cloud computing, enterprise-scale operations, and high-performance connectivity. Designed with sustainability, security, and resilience at its core, the facility is expected to play a pivotal role in strengthening Nigeria’s data sovereignty and reducing reliance on offshore data hosting.
