Director General of NITDA Addresses “Building Innovation Bridges between Africa & Europe” at DLD 2024 Conference in Munich

 Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi CCIE, the Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), was a distinguished participant in a panel session focused on “Building Innovation Bridges between Africa & Europe” at the prestigious 2024 Digital Life Design (DLD) Conference held in Munich, Germany.

The engaging session, moderated by Dr. Inya Lawal of Asend Studios, featured insights from prominent figures in the innovation landscape, including Leon Reiner from Impact Hub Berlin and Anna Sophie Herken from GIZ.

Director General Abdullahi seized the opportunity to highlight the commitment of the Nigerian federal government to creating an investment-friendly environment. He emphasized the implementation of policies and incentives aimed at fostering innovation and mutual value creation between Africa and Europe. The panelist advocated for leveraging the rich talents in Nigeria and the broader African continent.

In his address, Director General Abdullahi underscored Africa’s youthful demographic, with an average age of 18, positioning it as a valuable resource to address talent gaps in Europe. Additionally, he emphasized the vast market potential of Africa, boasting a population of 1.3 billion, urging collaboration to unlock opportunities for growth and development.

The 2024 DLD Conference served as a platform for thought leaders to exchange ideas and insights, and Director General Abdullahi’s participation furthered the discourse on strengthening ties between Africa and Europe in the realm of innovation.
