The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening cybersecurity through closer collaboration with the Nigerian Army following a courtesy visit by a delegation from the Nigerian Army Cyber Warfare Command.
The visit, held at the Commission’s headquarters in Maitama, Abuja, brought together officials from both institutions to discuss emerging cybersecurity challenges and opportunities for enhanced cooperation.
Among those present were the Commander of the Nigerian Army Cyber Warfare Command, Major General E.S. Mustapha, and the Head of the Information Technology Department at the NCC, Mrs. Nkiru L. Ebenmelu.
According to the Commission, the engagement provided an opportunity to deepen institutional collaboration, improve mutual understanding of evolving cyber threats, and identify strategic areas of cooperation aimed at protecting Nigeria’s digital and communications infrastructure.
The meeting underscores ongoing efforts by both organisations to enhance the resilience of the country’s communications systems amid growing cybersecurity challenges.
