The Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, recently welcomed Major General ZL Abubakar, Chief of Army Transformation and Innovation, and his team to the agency’s corporate headquarters. The meeting aimed to explore potential areas of collaboration between NITDA and the Nigerian Army.
Discussions focused on establishing a strong foundation for digital transformation by developing innovative solutions and tools to enhance peace and security in Nigeria. This initiative is geared towards leveraging technology to address national security challenges effectively.
Representing the DG, Mr. Oladejo Olawumi, Director of the ITIS Department, emphasized that the collaboration will primarily concentrate on capacity building and research. This partnership aligns perfectly with the Presidential priority areas, particularly the emphasis on strengthening national security.
Mr. Olawumi highlighted the significance of this collaboration, noting that it will pave the way for integrating advanced digital technologies into national security operations.
