MyFarmBase Africa Deepens Capacity Building In Uyo, Akwa Ibom State

Food security is one of the critical aspects of any naation, the quest for food security is vital for every naation, having this in mind, MyFarmBase, an online and information technology organisation is bringing to bare the convergence of agriculture and technology. Using ICT to drive innovation and capacity in food security has seen FarmBase gain acceptability especially in the Niger Delta states.

Speaking about MyFarmBase, Youth Johnson, an ICT expert that has deepened capacity building in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State through StartHub Innovation said “I am the latest vegetable farmer and will expand into other Agric options soon.I heard about @MyFarmBase from my husband and on Facebook. I decided to try and gave it a shot, believe me, it was worth it and I wouldn’t have asked for more than the experience which was FREE and came at the RIGHT TIME”

“The Bootcamp helped widen my scope to know that agriculture is more than planting and rearing animals and that there are so many value chains in it. You heard me, right?”

MyFarmBase program is, not only an eye opener, but a pointer to another undisputed fact that: WE HAVE NO BUSINESS WHATSOEVER, WITH HUNGER & POVERTY IN NIGERIA, if only we can explore all the value chains in agriculture, as revealed to us at this bootcamp.

“The different Modules taught especially that of Rabbit breeding, Snail farming ( I have some friends that are into this already that will want to learn more), how to access funds for Startups and the business of maize farming( I tried maize already in my small farm and during the training, I learnt more and saw where I got some things wrong).” Youth added.

“Honestly , I am now well informed on my watermelon farming and I want to use this medium to thank the organizers of this program for the great opportunity.God bless you Olamide our host, your efforts, efficiency and effectiveness made the Bootcamp fun, and to all our facilitators, they are world-class materials, believe me. I am now a pro and much informed on the industry than I was two weeks ago” Youth concluded.

MyFarmbase Africa. Is constantly building capacity around food security and people are encouraged to join the next cohort starting in early February here through https://bit.ly/MFBGlobal-Dev13

MyFarmbase Africa is an agriculture social enterprise that provides a collaborative (or end-to-end) ecosystem where anyone irrespective of their background can learn about agriculture and receive support to build sustainable agribusinesses.
