ABUJA, NIGERIA — Following the launch of its inaugural solo Customer Forum in April, Airtel Nigeria has taken its transparency and customer engagement drive to the nation’s capital, hosting the second edition of the Airtel Nigeria Customer Forum.
The event brought together subscribers, telecom industry stakeholders, and representatives from the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to engage in open, transparent discussions regarding data usage, digital empowerment, and consumer experience.
A central focus of the interactive forum was addressing subscriber concerns regarding data consumption patterns. To provide practical solutions, Airtel showcased its newly launched Airtel Data Calculator, a digital tool designed to help consumers track, manage, and optimize their daily data needs.
The initiative comes as an industry response to evolving digital behaviors across Nigeria, where consumers are increasingly demanding greater accountability and clarity from network providers regarding billing and data depletion.
According to a corporate statement from the telecom giant, the forum is part of a sustained strategy rather than a temporary campaign. “For us, listening is not a one-off campaign. It is how we place customers first,” the company stated, emphasizing its commitment to leading the market with accountability.
Building on the momentum of the Lagos and Abuja events, Airtel Nigeria has confirmed that plans are already underway to host a third edition of the consumer forum in another regional hub soon.
