The Chief Executive Officer of Ministry of Finance Incorporated, Armstrong Takang, has reflected on the enduring influence of personal relationships and friendships formed during his time at Harvard Business School.
In a post shared on social media, Takang recounted fond memories of his experiences within his Living Group, highlighting the impact of a fellow classmate, Abdullah Halid Fidan.
Describing Fidan as a “uniquely winsome businessman from Turkey,” Takang praised his leadership qualities, noting his ability to balance compassion, inspiration, and decisiveness. He said Fidan possessed a rare combination of traits that made him both a trusted friend and an effective leader.
Takang also recalled the group’s social activities, particularly an outing to Zuma restaurant organized by Fidan on their first day on campus. According to him, the experience underscored the importance of relaxation, social interaction, and building meaningful connections.
Reflecting on the broader lesson from the experience, the MOFI chief encouraged people to make positive impressions on those they encounter, emphasizing that acts of kindness, friendship, and inspiration can leave lasting memories regardless of distance.
