The organizers of the Omniverse Africa initiative have officially unveiled plans for the Omniverse Africa Summit 3.0, a large-scale global convening scheduled to take place from June 2 to June 5, 2026, in Lagos, Nigeria.
The summit is expected to attract over 20,000 participants from more than 20 countries, alongside 180+ speakers and 80+ partners, positioning it as one of the continent’s most significant multi-stakeholder gatherings focused on innovation, technology, policy, and economic development.
According to organizers, the summit will serve as a platform designed to connect key drivers of the innovation ecosystem, including talent, research, capital, and policy. The goal is to foster collaboration across sectors and geographies while accelerating conversations that can translate into actionable outcomes for Africa’s growth and global competitiveness.
The Lagos unveiling event featured participation from a diverse group of institutional and industry leaders representing both public and private sectors. These included representatives from international development and regional bodies such as GIZ Nigeria and ECOWAS, as well as ecosystem enablers like the Innovation Support Network (ISN) Hubs, and organizations including Badung Africa, the European Union, IHS Towers, the Embassy of Finland in the United States, the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), and Megaletrics Limited.
The summit is being convened in collaboration with industry stakeholders and ecosystem leaders, with co-convener Charles Uche Emembolu leading efforts to bring together a broad coalition of partners committed to advancing innovation and inclusive development across Africa.
Organizers describe the Omniverse Africa Summit as a global platform that not only highlights Africa’s growing role in the international innovation landscape but also strengthens cross-border collaboration, knowledge exchange, and investment opportunities across emerging sectors.
With its scale and diverse participation, the upcoming summit is expected to serve as a critical meeting point for policymakers, investors, researchers, entrepreneurs, and development partners seeking to shape the future of Africa’s digital and economic transformation.
