Chinwe Okoli has officially concluded her tenure as Special Adviser to the Governor of Anambra State on Innovation and Business Incubation, marking the end of a nearly three-and-a-half-year period in public service.
Okoli, who served from October 17, 2022, to March 17, 2026, disclosed that she received a formal letter of commendation from the state governor, Chukwuma Charles Soludo, during a farewell meeting held to mark the close of her appointment.
During her tenure, Okoli played a key role in advancing the state’s innovation agenda, contributing to the development of policies and initiatives aimed at strengthening the digital economy, supporting startups, and promoting entrepreneurship. Her office also focused on expanding digital skills and fostering collaboration within the technology ecosystem.
A major highlight of her work includes contributions to the Solution Innovation District, a flagship project designed to position Anambra as a hub for technology and innovation. According to Okoli, while the initiative is still evolving, foundational systems and frameworks have been successfully established.
Reflecting on her time in office, she emphasized the importance of building sustainable systems and driving long-term impact through public service. She also acknowledged the contributions of colleagues, partners, and members of the tech community who collaborated on various initiatives during her tenure.
Okoli noted that her commitment to innovation and ecosystem development remains strong, signaling her intention to continue contributing to initiatives that support economic growth and technological advancement beyond her role in government.
Her exit marks a transition to a new phase, as stakeholders anticipate her continued involvement in Nigeria’s innovation and entrepreneurship landscape.
