Fubara Inspects Proposed Dump Site, Permanent Secretaries’ Housing Project


Port Harcourt, Rivers State — Governor Siminalayi Fubara has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improved environmental management and infrastructure development in Rivers State during an inspection tour of key projects.

The governor visited the proposed dump site at Omueke-Igwuruta in Ikwerre Local Government Area, as part of efforts to enhance waste management and promote environmental cleanliness across the state.
According to him, the site has been assessed and found suitable for use, with plans already underway to make it operational in the near future.

In continuation of the tour, Governor Fubara also inspected ongoing construction of 29 units of four-bedroom duplexes for Permanent Secretaries at Elimgbu, in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area. He expressed satisfaction with the level of progress and noted that the project was on track for early completion.

Governor Fubara reiterated his administration’s commitment to building “a cleaner and more sustainable Rivers State,” emphasizing that initiatives in waste management and public housing are key components of his development agenda.
