The Ilorin Innovation Hub has hosted a high-level delegation led by British officials as part of efforts to strengthen innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital skills development in Nigeria.
The visit was led by Gill Lever, who was accompanied by a United Kingdom delegation to engage with emerging tech talent and innovation stakeholders in Kwara State.
The delegation was received by Olufolake Abdulrazaq, alongside the Managing Director of the innovation hub, Temi Kolawole, and a representative of IHS Nigeria, Gbolahan Thomas.
The engagement focused on the growing role of Kwara State’s emerging technology ecosystem, with discussions centered on innovation, entrepreneurship, remote work opportunities, and digital transformation.
Officials and stakeholders also highlighted the importance of equipping young Nigerians with the skills needed to develop globally competitive solutions and participate in the international digital economy.
According to the hub, the visit underscored continued support for collaboration between Nigerian innovation ecosystems and international partners aimed at fostering talent development and expanding economic opportunities for young people.
The Ilorin Innovation Hub described the engagement as part of broader efforts to position Kwara State as a growing center for technology-driven entrepreneurship and innovation in Nigeria.
