On Sunday, November 17th, 2024, Faith Cathedral International Ministries in Egbeda, Lagos, held a moving Thanksgiving service to mark the conclusion of its week-long Men Convention 2024. Pastor Fred Obetoh, the church’s General Overseer, took to the stage to address the men of the congregation with a heartfelt sermon. In his message, Pastor Fred encouraged the men to remain unwavering in their faith despite the materialistic pressures of the world. Acknowledging the current economic hardships that many families face, he urged the men to always place God at the center of their lives and families.
“Brothers, I want you to know that you are the best people I can pastor,” Pastor Fred said, his voice filled with warmth and conviction. “You are the ones who bear the responsibility of leading your families, and it is your faith that keeps them grounded. For you to bring your families to church, to make sacrifices in the name of faith, is a testament to the strength of your commitment to God’s word.”
With a gentle but firm tone, he reminded them that their role as the spiritual head of the family is one that holds great significance. Pastor Fred urged them not to let the difficulties of life lead them astray, but to continue standing firm in their faith and guiding their families on the right path.
Anthony Aigbe, the Grand Patron of the Men’s Association, also shared in the spirit of encouragement, reinforcing Pastor Fred’s powerful message. Aigbe prayed fervently for the continued success of the church’s initiatives, expressing hope that next year’s convention would be even more impactful, with God’s presence guiding the path of every family in the congregation.

Brother Uche Madu, President of the Men’s Association, also took a moment to acknowledge the efforts of all who contributed to the success of the convention.
