Private sector entities like Microsoft and cybersecurity firm FireEye were also compromised. The attackers accessed sensitive data, raising significant national security concerns.”

The intrusion has disrupted operations, led to substantial financial losses, and necessitated extensive security overhauls to mitigate further risks.
