President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated one of Nigeria’s foremost industrialists and philanthropists, Abdul Samad Rabiu, on the occasion of his 66th birthday, describing him as a visionary entrepreneur whose investments have significantly contributed to Nigeria’s industrial growth and economic transformation.

In a statement issued by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu joined the Rabiu family, friends, business associates and the wider Nigerian business community in celebrating the Chairman of BUA Group and Founder of ASR Africa.

The President described Rabiu as one of the architects of modern Nigerian industry, whose remarkable journey exemplifies vision, enterprise, resilience and unwavering confidence in Nigeria’s future. He noted that through strategic investments in manufacturing, infrastructure and agriculture, Rabiu has helped expand local production, strengthen food security, create thousands of employment opportunities and demonstrate the capacity of indigenous Nigerian businesses to compete successfully across Africa.

According to President Tinubu, Abdul Samad Rabiu has, for decades, embodied the finest traditions of Nigerian entrepreneurship by building enduring industries, making long-term investments and maintaining confidence in the Nigerian economy even during periods of economic uncertainty.

The President also acknowledged Rabiu’s philanthropic impact through ASR Africa, which has supported numerous initiatives in education, healthcare, social development and infrastructure across the continent, further complementing his contributions to economic development.

President Tinubu wished the renowned businessman continued good health, greater accomplishments and many more years of impactful service to Nigeria, Africa and humanity.
