Before joining McDonald’s, Amadi built an exceptional career at Nike Inc., where she held several strategic executive positions at the company’s global headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon, United States. Between 2022 and 2024, she served as Vice President and Head of Global Operations Strategy, leading a 23-member team responsible for strategy across all functions reporting to Nike’s Chief Operating Officer. As a trusted adviser to the COO, she played a central role in annual planning, enterprise transformation initiatives and strategic investment decisions. Her responsibilities covered technology and digital transformation, consumer demand and supply management, product and marketplace supply chains, sustainability, procurement, workplace design and enterprise connectivity.
Prior to that role, she served as Head of Enterprise Strategy from 2020 to 2022, where she managed a 14-member team reporting directly to Nike’s Chief Strategy Officer. Working closely with the company’s executive leadership, she helped shape Nike’s short-term and long-term corporate strategy while overseeing annual strategic planning, cross-functional business initiatives, new revenue opportunities, strategic direction for Global Communications and Legal, as well as executive storytelling and corporate narrative development. Earlier in 2020, she established and led Nike’s Global Communications Strategy function, reporting directly to the Chief Communications Officer and serving on the executive leadership team. In that capacity, she was responsible for strategic planning, budget management, corporate narrative development and integrating communications strategies across the company’s global operations.
Her transition to McDonald’s marks another defining chapter in an already distinguished career. As Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer, Amadi joins the global leadership team responsible for driving the company’s long-term vision and enterprise transformation. Under McDonald’s NEXT Strategy, she will help shape initiatives aimed at enhancing customer hospitality, improving food quality, accelerating digital innovation, strengthening operational excellence and identifying new opportunities for sustainable growth across international markets.
