Flutterwave has strengthened its push for public sector digital transformation through a new partnership with the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, aimed at enhancing innovation, digital capability, and service delivery across Nigeria’s civil service structure.
This development was disclosed by Olufunmilayo Olaniyi, Senior Vice President for Business Development at Flutterwave, in a recent statement highlighting the company’s ongoing engagements with public and private sector leaders on national digital development.
According to Olaniyi, the collaboration was formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Flutterwave and the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation. The agreement is intended to support capacity building, strengthen digital infrastructure, and accelerate innovation within Nigeria’s public service systems.
He noted that the initiative reflects a broader understanding that no industry can reach its full potential in isolation, particularly when the goal is to build systems that operate at scale and impact citizens directly.
The announcement followed a series of keynote engagements by Olaniyi at the Cooperative Housing Summit Africa and the International Civil Service Summit, where discussions focused on the role of cross-sector collaboration in advancing Nigeria’s digital transformation agenda.
He emphasized that the future of inclusive systems depends on the convergence of innovation, infrastructure, and strategic partnerships between government and private sector actors.
The partnership is expected to contribute to ongoing efforts to modernize public service delivery and strengthen Nigeria’s broader digital economy ecosystem.
