The Governor of the , , on Wednesday hosted a delegation from S&P Global Ratings during the agency’s periodic review of Nigeria’s sovereign credit rating.
The delegation, led by , met with the CBN governor as part of a broader engagement with key government ministries, departments, and agencies.
During the meeting, Cardoso highlighted Nigeria’s economic strengths, improved resilience, and growing macroeconomic stability, citing gains recorded from recent reforms across key sectors of the economy.
He also reaffirmed the commitment of the country’s leadership to sustaining the reform agenda and consolidating recent gains to drive long-term growth and national development.
The visit forms part of S&P Global’s routine assessment process used in evaluating Nigeria’s creditworthiness and economic outlook.
