Stakeholders in the pharmaceutical sector have emphasised the need for stronger collaboration, innovation, and regulatory efficiency at the 2026 edition of the Pharma West Africa Conference & Exhibition.
Abimbola Adebakin, Founder and CEO of Advantage Health Africa, who served as Director of Ceremony for the third consecutive year, described the event’s growth since 2024 as both significant and encouraging.
According to Adebakin, this year’s conference was marked by a “clarity of intent,” with industry players demonstrating a renewed commitment to practical collaboration and scalable innovation, particularly in strengthening primary healthcare systems across the region.
Focus on Systems, Regulation, and Innovation
Discussions at the conference highlighted the increasing importance of track-and-trace systems, improved regulatory frameworks, and disciplined documentation as key enablers of efficiency and trust within the pharmaceutical value chain.
Adebakin noted that both local and multinational organisations showcased solutions aimed at expanding access to quality healthcare, reinforcing the role of innovation in addressing systemic gaps.
