For Inam Maso, serving as a host at the event became more than a professional milestone. It was a deeply personal and humbling experience, one that reflected the power of collective effort in telling Africa’s story through authentic voices. Standing among innovators, creators, and entrepreneurs, she described the moment as being part of “many hands shaping the story of a rising continent.”
With more than 5,000 curated sessions, GITEX Africa created a space where ideas met intention. Conversations went beyond technical advancements to focus on real-life impact, how technology can open doors, create jobs, amplify local voices, and solve everyday challenges faced by communities across the continent.
Participants emphasized that Africa is no longer content with being viewed as a narrative shaped from the outside. Instead, it is asserting itself as a force, driven by its people, its creativity, and its determination to turn potential into proof. The energy at the event reflected this shift, with young innovators, founders, and storytellers confidently presenting solutions rooted in local realities but designed for global relevance.
Maso also highlighted the importance of the environment created by the GITEX team, one that encouraged authenticity and creativity. It allowed participants to show up not just as professionals, but as individuals with unique stories, cultures, and perspectives. She expressed gratitude to Olayide M.
