A senior Nigerian government official, Jumoke Oduwole, has highlighted renewed momentum in Nigeria–United Kingdom relations following a diplomatic business reception held at Kensington Palace.

The event, the ETIP Business Reception, brought together government officials, investors, and business leaders, marking what participants described as a symbolic close to a week of high-level engagements linked to the Nigerian President’s state visit to the United Kingdom

.

Describing the gathering as “a symbolic evening of diplomatic engagement and shared ambition,” Oduwole noted that the discussions reinforced the strength of the Nigeria–UK economic corridor.

“This week, coinciding with the President’s landmark State Visit, we have reinforced the strength of the Nigeria-UK corridor,” she said.

She further emphasized that Nigeria is working toward building a more agile and investable economy capable of converting international partnerships into tangible economic growth.

“We are building a more agile, investible economy, ensuring that our global partnerships translate into growth and opportunity for our business communities,” she added.

The engagement was also celebrated by industry leaders, including Nigerian technology executive Nnenna Egerton-Idehen, who highlighted the significance of deepening cross-border collaboration between both countries.

The reception is part of broader diplomatic and commercial efforts aimed at strengthening bilateral trade, investment flows, and institutional partnerships between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
