The CEO of Aruwa Capital Management returned to the office this week to an unexpected and touching celebration organized by her team, following her birthday last week.
The office was adorned with balloons, party hats, and cheerful decorations, as staff welcomed her with smiles, a beautifully decorated cake, a giant card signed by the entire team, and thoughtful gifts. The gesture, she said, left her feeling “incredibly seen and appreciated.”
Reflecting on the moment, the CEO noted that leadership is not only about titles but about relationships and the culture built within a team. “It’s one thing to lead a team. It’s another thing to feel genuinely celebrated by them,” she remarked.
Appointed CEO at the age of 29, she described her leadership journey as one of continuous refinement—learning to listen better, lead with empathy, build trust intentionally, and grow alongside her colleagues.
