Rome Business School Nigeria recorded a major milestone as more than 5,000 people gathered for its graduation ceremony, marking what school leadership described as one of the institution’s most significant celebrations to date.
The event brought together graduating students, families, faculty members, corporate partners, and institutional leaders to celebrate academic achievement and the emergence of a new generation of professionals set to contribute to Nigeria’s economic and social development.
Speaking after the event, Rome Business School Nigeria Dean, Professor Antonio Ragusa, described the ceremony as a powerful reminder of the institution’s growing impact across the country.
“The enthusiasm, pride, and determination displayed by our graduates reaffirm the importance of our educational mission in Nigeria. Every success story confirms the purpose of our work,” Ragusa said.
He expressed appreciation to the school’s staff, lecturers, partners, and supporters for their continued dedication, noting that the collective effort behind the scenes has been key to the institution’s growth and success.
A major highlight of the ceremony was the conferment of an honorary Doctorate in Business Administration on the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in recognition of his contribution to Nigeria’s social, economic, and civic development.
The event was also attended by senior Italian government officials, including the Ambassador of Italy to Nigeria, Dr. Roberto Mengoni, and the Consul General of Italy in Lagos, Dr. Ugo Boni. Their presence underscored the strong educational and cultural ties between Italy and Nigeria.
Delivering the keynote address was Olusegun Ogunsanya, Chairman of Airtel Africa Foundation and Chairman of the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority, who also served as Patron of the Ceremony. He encouraged graduates to embrace leadership, innovation, and social responsibility as they progress in their careers.
The ceremony concluded with a reaffirmation of the school’s mission: “Better Managers for a Better World.”
