The Codefest Hackathon Expo & Awards 2025 held November 20th, 2025 at the University of Lagos following her quest for Guiness World Records as the longest and most participated online Hackathon, delivered a showcase of creativity, brilliance, and technological excellence. All Top 12 finalist teams who emerged from 100+ teams in the early competition arrived in high spirits, proudly displaying their team banners and dressed in the official Codefest T-shirts. The atmosphere was electric—filled with excitement, anticipation, and the unmistakable energy of young innovators ready to shape the future.
The event kicked off seamlessly with an opening prayer and national anthem, followed by inspiring keynote messages from distinguished speakers, including Mr. Vinod Kaurani, CEO of Tripberry; Dr. Kingsley Oboti, Chairman of Mekatrice Group of Companies; Raj Kapoor, Founder of the Indian Blockchain Alliance; and several other influential tech leaders. Their speeches ignited passion in the participants, touching on innovation, resilience, and the evolving landscape of digital technology.
Adding even more prestige to the event was the presence of the Honorable Commissioner, ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment, Lagos state. Hon. Akinyemi Bankole Ajigbotafe.

Worthy of note is Mrs. Titilola Baiyere, Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Area Coordinator, Badagry, Lagos state ably represented by officials from the Training department who were amazed at the outcome of the ceremony and delivered their commitment speech to further partner with CODEFEST International.
Their attendance underscored the national importance of platforms that showcases and empowers young tech talents.
One of the most captivating moments of the Expo was the live project pitch session, where each team presented their innovative solutions. From Ultimi, Ajosave, Flood Alert, Imperium Build, Gani, Pandora, Gestpay, Vitalink, Ayomama, Greenkudi, to Aharries Strategy, every pitch reflected creativity, technical excellence, and a commitment to solving real-world problems through technology.
After a meticulous evaluation by the esteemed judging panel Dr. Adekunbi Omotoso (CEO, Apps and Scripts), Dr. Chika Yinka-Banjo (HOD Computer Science, University of Lagos), and Dr. Adesina Adewale (Current Chairman, Lagos chapter of Nigeria Computer Society) —the winners were selected based on innovation, feasibility, technical depth, and overall presentation.
The tension reached its peak as the awards were unveiled, beginning with the third position and building up to the grand champion.

Third Place – Flood Alert
Flood Alert captured the judges’ attention with a proactive solution for disaster prevention, offering real-time environmental monitoring and timely alert systems designed to reduce the impact of flooding.
Second Place – Gestpay
Gestpay secured second place with its intelligent AI-powered platform designed to improve our existing payment challenges in Fintech, enhance user experience and streamline complex decision-making processes with accuracy and speed.
First Place – Vitalink
Vitalink emerged as the overall champion with an exceptional, scalable innovation that has the potential to contribute to the health sector in Nigeria and deliver meaningful impact across communities.
Partners who supported this mission also received “CODEFEST” award of social Impact for their contributions.
The promoter, Moss Uromtah said “these techies unveiled today are like good footballers discovered for the English premiership because from today their value has gone up in the market place”
