Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to promoting creativity, innovation, and responsible digital engagement in Nigeria.
The Governor made this known when he received Bodex Whenume Hungbo, the convener of the Bodex Social Media Hangout (BSMH), alongside other prominent figures in Nigeria’s digital media industry, at the Lagos State Government House.
The courtesy visit comes ahead of the 6th edition of the Bodex Social Media Hangout — a platform that fosters meaningful conversations around the positive impact of digital media and encourages the responsible use of online platforms.
Governor Sanwo-Olu commended Hungbo and her team for their contributions to shaping digital discourse and inspiring creativity among young Nigerians.
“Lagos has always been the heartbeat of creativity and innovation,” Sanwo-Olu said. “I’m proud to celebrate homegrown talents who make an impact beyond our borders. We’ll continue to support initiatives that give people a voice, shape the right narratives, and promote responsible use of digital platforms.”
The Governor’s remarks underscore Lagos State’s leading role in advancing digital media growth and innovation, as well as its continued efforts to empower young creators driving Nigeria’s evolving media landscape.
