Chief Fabian Nwaora has become one of Nigeria’s most influential figures in property development, overseeing an empire of 15 ultramodern estates in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) through his company, Efab Properties Ltd.
His journey began modestly, apprenticing under his elder brother to learn the trade of home-use electrical components. Driven by ambition and a vision for growth, he ventured to Kano and Sokoto before eventually relocating to Abuja. In Abuja, he purchased his first plot of land in Idu at a bargain price, where he built his home and began generating income from renting out quarters in his property. Observing the rapid return on his investments, Chief Nwaora expanded his portfolio, purchasing additional land, developing properties, and renting them out.
This expansion led to the founding of Efab Properties Ltd, which has since become synonymous with excellence in property development in the FCT. Through strategic investments and loans, Chief Nwaora acquired further lands, constructed residential buildings, and made properties available for both sale and rental.
In an effort to optimize costs and maintain high standards, he also launched a construction division within his company. This construction arm now handles the building projects for Efab Properties and provides services for other external projects, establishing Efab Properties as a self-sustained and versatile real estate company.
Beyond real estate, Chief Nwaora is also the owner of First Generation Mortgage Bank Ltd, which has awarded over 2,400 mortgage loans, empowering Nigerians to own homes and contributing to the nation’s housing sector.
Hailing from Akabu, Osumenyi in Nnewi South, Anambra State, Chief Nwaora is also a respected traditional leader, bearing the title “Chikeluba.” Over the past three decades, he has not only built some of the most sought-after estates in Abuja but has also created substantial employment opportunities and played a significant role in nation-building.
Chief Nwaora’s legacy in real estate stands as a testament to his vision and commitment to Nigeria’s development. Through Efab Properties Ltd and First Generation Mortgage Bank, he continues to shape the future of Nigeria’s real estate and banking sectors, leaving an indelible mark on the industry and his community.
