Owerri, Imo State – Her Excellency Barrister Mrs. Chioma Uzodimma, the First Lady of Imo State, launched the Women in Tech Skill Training Program for Women Entrepreneurs. This significant event, organized by Huawei in collaboration with the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) led by Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu CON, First Lady of the Federation, aimed to empower women in technology across Nigeria.
The launch ceremony was held at the Imo State University auditorium in Owerri, marking a crucial step towards equipping women with the skills needed to thrive in the tech industry.
RENEWED HOPE INITIATIVE KICKED OFF TECH SKILL TRAINING FOR SOUTHEAST WOMEN
The Renewed Hope Initiative, championed by Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu, inaugurated the Southeast Women in Tech Skill Training Program. This commendable initiative, officially launched by Her Excellency Chief Barr. Chioma Uzodimma, aimed to empower women across the region by providing them with essential tech skills.
The program’s primary goal was to provide women with the necessary resources to explore technology, alleviating financial burdens and improving their quality of life. As a steadfast advocate for women’s empowerment, Chief Barr. Chioma Uzodimma consistently implemented programs supporting women’s training and development.
Through the Renewed Hope Initiative, both Her Excellencies demonstrated their commitment to nurturing a generation of women poised to advance technology in Nigeria. This initiative highlighted the importance of technology in building a brighter future for Imo State and the country at large.
Vice Chancellor Professor Uchefula U. Chukwumaeze, SAN, FCArb, praised Senator Oluremi Tinubu CON and Barrister Mrs. Chioma Uzodimma for their impactful leadership and dedication to advancing women’s roles, especially in safeguarding the girl-child in Imo State.
On behalf of the participants, Ms. Julie Ede from Enugu expressed gratitude to Barrister Chioma Uzodimma and Huawei representatives for the training opportunity. She also thanked Senator Oluremi Tinubu CON, promising to apply their newfound skills in their respective states.
