Labour Party Presidential Candidate Peter Obi has announced the commencement of the public accounting process for the Obi-Datti Campaign Funds utilized during the 2023 general election. This initiative aims to ensure transparency and accountability in the utilization of funds raised, starting with the crowdfunding campaign which invited contributions from the general public.
Speaking on the matter, Peter Obi emphasized the importance of accountability to those who supported the campaign, whether through financial contributions or other forms of assistance. The process will be overseen by a dedicated team led by Aisha Yesufu, ensuring that all donations were utilized for their intended purpose.
“We are committed to providing a detailed account to our supporters, demonstrating that their contributions were utilized judiciously to further our collective goal of birthing a New Nigeria,” said Peter Obi.
