One of the few start-ups in the country that have shown promise over the years, Simeon Ononobi, as he celebrates his birthday, his strides in the ICT space must be looked at. Just like Biblical Simeon Peter whom Our Lord handed the keys of the heaven, Simeon Ononobi seems to have the key of serial entrepreneurial spirit and giving hopes to the youths and start up, in a country that is more focused on music, culture and everything apart from ICT, Simeon has shown that Nigerians can run and float a world class financial technology ( FinTech) firm and have foreign partners collaborating with him.

Having founded SimplePay from a humble place in Lagos, the organisation has grown to be one of the few fintechs in the country that has demonstrated resilient and hope. “I don’t believe that you can just borrow something from America and use it in this environment. You have to get into the psyche of the individual” In his words with Muyiwa of TechPoint.
