Abuja, Nigeria – The Executive Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS), Dr. Zacch Adedeji, has reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to strengthening inter-agency collaboration following a working visit by the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU), Hafsat Abubakar Bakari, at the NRS Headquarters in Abuja.

The meeting underscored the growing partnership between the NRS and the NFIU in advancing Nigeria’s financial integrity framework and enhancing the country’s revenue administration system.

As key institutions responsible for revenue collection and financial intelligence, both agencies discussed strategies aimed at improving compliance, promoting transparency, and protecting Nigeria’s economic interests.

According to the NRS, the engagement provided an opportunity to deepen institutional collaboration, reinforce inter-agency cooperation, and explore strategic initiatives that will enhance revenue mobilisation while strengthening safeguards for Nigeria’s financial system.

The discussions are expected to further align the efforts of both organisations in addressing financial crimes, improving information sharing, and supporting the Federal Government’s drive towards a more transparent, accountable, and resilient economic environment.
