The Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, has engaged with innovators, policymakers, startup founders, and ecosystem leaders at the Future Map Foundation Roundtable 1.0 (North-West Edition) as part of efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s innovation ecosystem.
The roundtable provided a platform for participants to discuss ways to improve regional innovation policies, promote effective public-private partnerships, and create opportunities for local innovations to scale beyond their communities.
During the engagement, Abdullahi reaffirmed NITDA’s commitment to supporting people-driven, locally relevant, and globally competitive innovation in line with the Federal Government’s digital transformation agenda.
He stressed the importance of collaboration, trust, and strategic coordination among stakeholders to unlock the innovation potential of the North-West region and accelerate the growth of Nigeria’s digital economy.
The event brought together key players from across the innovation space, highlighting the role of collective action in building a strong, inclusive, and sustainable innovation ecosystem for Northern Nigeria.
