At the official commissioning of the ICT Community Centre at Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin, the Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa CCIE, delivered a compelling address highlighting the importance of the Centre in advancing Nigeria’s digital economy.
In his opening remarks, Inuwa underscored the significance of the collaboration between NITDA and the Renewed Hope Initiative in establishing the Centre, calling it a pivotal move in enhancing the digital skills and knowledge of citizens. He noted that the Centre, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, is designed to provide a smart, personalized learning experience, aiming to empower individuals with the tools necessary to excel in the digital age.
Furthermore, Inuwa lauded the remarkable commitment of Her Excellency, the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu. He highlighted her unwavering dedication to empowering women, vulnerable groups, the less privileged, and students by providing them with the resources and opportunities needed to thrive in the digital economy, both locally and nationally.
