The Association of Telecommunications Companies of Nigeria (ATCON) recently hosted a Special Industry Reception in honor of Dr. Aminu Maida, the Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC). During the event, Dr. Maida reaffirmed the NCC’s commitment to enhancing the telecommunications industry and delivering an improved Quality of Experience (QoE) to consumers.
“I’d like to thank the stakeholders of the Nigerian telecommunications industry and ATCON for the warm reception I received yesterday,” Dr. Maida stated. “I must also thank our consumers for their patience with us and acknowledge the support and collaboration of the industry as we roll out our reforms to improve the Quality of Experience (QoE).”
Dr. Maida emphasized the NCC’s unwavering dedication to building a resilient industry that prioritizes consumer satisfaction. “Our commitment at the Nigerian Communications Commission to building a resilient industry that delivers optimal QoE to the consumer remains resolute,” he affirmed.
The reception, held recently in Lagos, saw key industry figures in attendance, including Engr. Abraham Oshadami, Executive Commissioner of Technical Services at the NCC; Mr. Tony Izuagbe Emoekpere, President of ATCON; and Ms. Rimini Makama, Executive Commissioner of Stakeholder Management at the NCC. The event provided an opportunity for industry stakeholders to discuss ongoing reforms and the future of Nigeria’s telecommunications sector.
Dr. Maida’s remarks and the support from ATCON and industry stakeholders underscore a collaborative effort to strengthen and grow the telecommunications industry in Nigeria, ensuring consumers receive the highest quality of service.
