Emeka Paul Agbedo, popularly known as “Ozu Evu n‘ Ishi 1, na Enugu Ezike-Oba,” has created an unforgettable moment by celebrating his traditional marriage in Istanbul, Turkey. Originally from Okata village in Enugu Ezike-Oba, Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area, Enugu State, Nigeria, Emeka is a well-known figure within the Igbo community in Istanbul.
Emeka, who is fondly referred to as “Money Maintain,” decided to celebrate his marriage with his beautiful bride from Lampung, Indonesia, in Istanbul with the blessings of his father from their hometown in Enugu Ezike-Oba. In adherence to Igbo customs, his father directed that the eldest man from Enugu Ezike-Oba, also residing in Istanbul, would represent him for the traditional palm wine ceremony.
Emeka expressed his pride in his Igbo heritage, stating, “Igbo people excel anywhere in the world, which is why I chose to celebrate my traditional marriage here in Istanbul.” He also noted that the celebrations are simultaneously taking place in his hometown, Enugu Ezike-Oba, and in Lampung, Indonesia.
“May God bless this union and grant us prosperity,” Emeka added.
