In a significant boost to Nigeria’s growing artificial intelligence ecosystem, a private sponsor has provided a 50 percent scholarship for 10 participants enrolling in the upcoming 5-Day AI Bootcamp leading to the CODEFEST AI Practitioner Certificate.

The sponsorship reduces the participation fee from ₦150,000 to ₦75,000 for the first 10 qualified registrants, opening the door for more aspiring AI professionals to access practical, industry-relevant training.

The bootcamp, organised by Codefest International Ltd, will commence on March 7, 2026, and run for five consecutive Saturdays. Each weekly session will last between three to four hours and will focus on hands-on learning, live demonstrations, and real-world AI project development. The final Saturday will be dedicated to examinations and project assessment.

Speaking on the scholarship initiative, the Chief Executive Officer of Codefest International Ltd, Moss Uromta, described the sponsorship as a timely intervention aimed at democratizing access to AI education.

He added that the bootcamp was intentionally structured to be practical and outcome-driven.

“We are not just teaching theory. Every participant will build real AI systems. By the end of the five weeks, they will have something tangible to show employers or clients. Our goal is to produce practitioners, not spectators.”

The training exposes participants to multiple high-demand career pathways, including AI Engineering, Machine Learning Engineering, Data Analytics (AI), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Junior MLOps roles.

With only 20 seats available in total — and 10 already subsidised under the scholarship scheme — organisers say registration is expected to close quickly. Registration officially closes on March 6, 2026.
