Ministry of Interior Deepens Shoe Production in Aba, Abia state

The Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola (@raufaregbesola) has virtually turned the first sod of Nigerian Correctional Service Shoe & Garment Factory, Aba and also broke the ground for its Tannery/Leather Processing Factory in Kano.

The PPP Project is in conjunction with Erojim Investment Limited and its Chinese Technical Partners, Poly Technologies. The partnership will provide training to the inmates as well as increase the revenue generated by the service.

The Investor estimate a factory capacity of 250,000 pairs of shoe and 600,000 units of garment per annum; the project will also create over 10,000 direct and indirect jobs within the city of Aba. The Tannery in Kano is projected to create 5,000 direct and indirect jobs.
