After its global premiere on Disney+ last month, The Walt Disney Company Africa (https:\/\/TheWaltDisneyCompany.com\/<\/a>) today announced that the Disney+ Original anthology series \u201cKizazi Moto: Generation Fire\u201d will be broadcast across Africa when it lands on Disney Channel (DStv, Channel 303) this August.<\/p>\n

    Featuring stories from the continent, a double bill of films will be broadcast at 17:00 CAT each weekday from 28 August \u2013 1 September with 5-film marathons airing at 15:15 CAT on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 September respectively.<\/p>\n

    \u201cKizazi Moto: Generation Fire\u201d is an action-packed animated sci-fi anthology that presents ten futuristic visions from Africa, inspired by the continent\u2019s diverse histories and cultures. Creators hailing from South Africa, Nigeria, Egypt, Uganda, Kenya and Zimbabwe present uniquely African perspectives to imagine brave new worlds of advanced technology, aliens, spirits, and monsters.<\/p>\n

    Says Christine Service, Senior Vice President and General Manager of The Walt Disney Company Africa: \u201cWe are excited to be bringing this innovative and celebrated series to viewers across the continent, giving those without access to Disney+ the chance to be part of an unforgettable ride into Africa\u2019s future, presenting visions of the continent as never before seen.\u201d<\/p>\n

    The ten creators include Ahmed Teilab (Egypt), Simangaliso \u2018Panda\u2019 Sibaya and Malcolm Wope (South Africa), Terence Maluleke and Isaac Mogajane (South Africa), Ng\u2019endo Mukii (Kenya), Shofela Coker (Nigeria), Nthato Mokgata and Catherine Green (South Africa), Pious Nyenyewa and Tafadzwa Hove (Zimbabwe), Tshepo Moche (South Africa), Raymond Malinga (Uganda) and Lesego Vorster (South Africa).<\/p>\n

    The sci-fi series features an exciting cast from across the globe and includes the voices of Florence Kasumba (\u201cBlack Panther: Wakanda Forever\u201d), Kehinde Bankole (\u201cBlood Sisters\u201d), Pearl Thusi (\u201cQueen Sono\u201d), Hakeem Kae-Kazim (\u201cHotel Rwanda\u201d, \u201cGodzilla vs. Kong\u201d), Sheila Munyiva (\u201cRafiki\u201d), Stycie Waweru (\u201cSupa Modo\u201d, \u201cSupa Sema\u201d), Candice Modiselle (\u201cGenerations: The Legacy\u201d), Lillian Dube (\u201cSoul City\u201d), Clementine Mosimane (\u201cPoppie Nongena\u201d), and Mandisa Nduna (\u201cBlood Psalms\u201d), as well as comedians Tumi Morake (\u201cSerious Single\u201d), Sne Dladla (\u201cBlack Tax\u201d) and Tyson Ngubeni (\u201cA Royal Surprise\u201d) and rappers Nasty C (\u201cBlood & Water\u201d) and Gigi Lamayne (\u201cTemptation Island: South Africa\u201d).<\/p>\n

    Oscar\u00ae-winning director Peter Ramsey (\u201cSpider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse\u201d), Tendayi Nyeke and Anthony Silverston all serve as executive producers. Triggerfish is the lead studio for the anthology, working in collaboration with animation studios across the continent and globally.<\/p>\n
