Yesterday, the Delta State Government inaugurated the First Assembly of the State Youth Parliament at the State House of Assembly Complex in Asaba.
Governor Ifeanyi Okowa who was represented by his Senior Political Adviser, Chief Funkekeme Solomon, charged members to use the platform to prepare themselves for leadership and governance.
“This administration is doing everything possible to give youth more opportunities through skills acquisition and leadership programmes that will make them self-reliant. We believe that youth are the voice of the society and the leaders of tomorrow,” Governor Okowa said.
