A new park in Winnipeg’s Bridgwater neighbourhood has been named in honor of Emeka Nnadi, an esteemed Igbo-Canadian architect, recognizing his significant contributions to the community. Emeka Nnadi Park marks a historic first as it is the first park in the city to be named after a member of Winnipeg’s African community.
Emeka Nnadi played a pivotal role in shaping the Bridgwater area, and this dedication serves as a testament to his efforts and impact. The city of Winnipeg celebrates this milestone, acknowledging the importance of diversity and the exceptional contributions of its residents.
