Windelectric Nigeria wins Innovation Award

Innovative fuelless power generation company, Windelectric Nigeria has availed Nigerians of its unique range of power generation systems that requires no fossil fuel to generate industrial-grade power. At an event held penultimate Thursday in Lagos organized by Tech TV called Digital Agenda Forum 2022, the proponents of Windelectric Nigeria, explained to a cross section of technology enthusiasts about the fundamental components and work-ability of the fuelless generator.

During his presentation, a director of the company, Professor Ademola Akinrinade, explained that the fuelless generator was from the application of some basic principles of Physics that relied mostly on a magnetic field created to replenish itself and at the same time generate power. Prof Akinrinade explained that Windelectric Nigeria was born out of a need to not only help Nigeria solve its energy crisis but also to aid the country’s quest at Industrial Revolution.

Citing several sources, Professor Ademola explained that lack of electricity has stunted the growth of the industrial sector within the small and medium-scale Enterprise Arena in Nigeria. But with the innovative fuelless generator from Windelectric Nigeria, the country now has the capacity to focus less on issues surrounding power supply and focus more on actual production. He went further to state that in reality, the electromagnetic powered generator from Windelectric Nigeria is a better definition of what green energy actually is. According to him, “unlike some other green energy solutions like battery, wind and solar, what Windelectric Nigeria is bringing to the table is the only real and truly green energy that can power industrial sector alongside thermal power”.

At the event which had in attendance Technology eggheads like Dr.Pius Okigbo jnr, the past president of the Institute of Software Practitioners of Nigeria (ISPON), Dr.Macdonalds Chidi from the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Rita Ndidi Amuchenwa, country executive leader Intel Corporation west Africa, Her Excellency Samata Gifty Bukari, Ghana Consulate General to Nigeria, Engr. James Agada of Ixzdore Laboratories, Dr. Victoria Ekhomo of Transworld Security, and a plethora of other technology enthusiasts and experts, the focus was basically to discuss and dissect the technology landscape for the country going forward.

With such objective the theme from Windelectric Nigeria which was led by its chairman and chief executive officer, Engr. Tunji Ishola, made a promise that utilizing the advantages or the fuelless generator all other technology advancements of the country can be realized especially when the issue of free and renewable energy is added into the mix. While receiving the award for Most Innovative Renewable Energy provider from the organizers of the event represented by Don Pedro Aganbi, the CEO of Windelectric Nigeria promised to use the award as a motivator to spread the gospel of renewable energy across the country and continent.

Seasoned media personality and entertainment journalist, Sam Anokam recently to his love of live Linda in a wedding that was well attended by the media community in Lagos, The Nation Newspaper, Alumni of IMSU and well-wishers from Imo state and Anambra state.

Speaking to the media, an elated Sam said, “I am grateful to God for making this day come through. It is a thing of pleasure to see myself and lovely wife surrounded by those that value and appreciate us. We are grateful for this, we are thankful for those that honored our invitation.”

In line with his position, the wife, Linda added that,”We cannot thank God enough for this day. It has been a journey and we strongly believe in God first. Speaking about the groom, Ngozi Okonkwo (Nee Nzeribe) a course-mate from Imo State University, Owerri same department with Sam added that”Over years, I have known Sam as a good man that do not quarrel with anyone, focused and very dedicated, I am sure that the wife has found a jewel in him. He is a man that knows what it takes not to offend people and he will just do this. I and some of my course mates who are here wish him a splendid union.”

“We are very impressed with the organization and also we are wishing them success in their marriage. We believe that they should apply the advises that have been given to them by many people especially the catholic priest for this marriage to work. Sam Anokam is a seasoned media personality, having worked with so many media houses and represented many of the movie industry and Actors Guild, graduated from the Imo State University. Anokam is the current secretary of IMSU Alumni Lagos, works with The Nation Newspaper and publishes NEWSTIME AFRICA, an online media platform that showcases the positives side of Nigeria especially the entertainment business.

Serena Williams: Lessons From a Life of Focus

I watched Serena Williams end her career on the court last night as she lost to 29 years old Tomljanovic. It was obvious she lost to youth. As I watched her play a beautiful game, I saw her struggle. I noticed the effort and the evolution of Serena.

Serena is an amazing woman. According to ESPN ” In 2022, Williams walks away from the game with 858 tour victories, 73 singles titles, an Olympic gold medal, and 319 weeks at No. 1. Together with Venus, she won 14 major double titles and three Olympic golds. Williams’ 23-major mark remains the most by a player, man or woman, in the Open Era.”*

Serena and her sister Venus redefined tennis, inspired a generation of black women in sports, and renewed the idea of sports as a career for women. She overcame injuries, life-threatening health challenges, difficult childbirth, and racial slurs to emerge a defining icon of an Era. The world will miss the Williams sisters on the court.

A few lessons crossed my mind watching her yesterday. First, we will all grow older. Use your youth wisely; once you cross your teenage age, opportunities begin to narrow in many fields. Sow the seeds of greatness while the sun shines. Focus on honing your skills and utilize your youth wisely. Like Serena, the game must end someday.

Second, single-minded dedication made all the difference for Serena. From early coaching from her father to playing finals pregnant and returning to the court months after difficult childbirth, she focused and turned up on all occasions. No excuses. Focus and commit.

Third, defeat setbacks are not final nor destiny. After painful losses, she came back, determined and focused. 2018 and 2019, she lost two finals, and yet she kept at it. Don’t give up. On the path to success are many failures, Serena lost and won.

Fourth, you can’t win it all. Serena wanted to beat the record of Magareth Courts of the most grand slams of 24 titles. She was stuck at 23, an impressive record. Always reach for the sky; not making it will not define you

As the match ended yesterday, I asked myself, “What is it that I need to recommit it to with dedication and focus?” We may not win the grand slam, but we can set our own goals and achieve it. Like Serena, I am ready to ‘evolve’.

You, especially my young friends, don’t waste your youth; it will speed past, and you will wonder what happened. Focus, commit, grow, and evolve. You owe it to yourself.

We are personally responsible for our future.

Microsoft Africa Development Center (Microsoft ADC), the engineering center for Microsoft is set to host a Disability Inclusion event across Africa focused on engineering and non-engineering talents living with disabilities on the 3rd of December, 2021. The event is diversity-centered and will encourage the inclusiveness of people living with disabilities in key career paths, while also raising awareness about the potential of talents living with disabilities. The event will showcase appropriate facilities, programs, and tools well suited for people with disabilities to achieve functional change.

The event will cover the Microsoft Accessibility- an essential tool used in delivering on Microsoft’s mission which is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more, and also unveil the next phase of the accessibility journey, our companywide commitment to creating and opening doors to bigger opportunities for people with disabilities and bring together every corner of Microsoft’s business while focusing on these three priorities: Spurring the development of more accessible technology across the industry and the economy, using the technology to create opportunities for more people living with disabilities to be included in the workforce; and building a workplace that is more inclusive for people living with disabilities.

Presenting the keynote at the Microsoft Disability Inclusion Event, Jack Ngare, Managing Director, Microsoft ADC- Kenya, noted ‘’More than one billion people around the world live with a disability, and employment rates are relatively lower and poverty rates are higher for people with disabilities than for those without disabilities.
