Faith Cathedral International Church, Egbeda, Lagos, recently hosted its annual Christmas Carol service, an event filled with music, drama, and the joyous celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. The evening was more than just a seasonal gathering; it was a heartfelt expression of faith, unity, and the church’s commitment to nurturing its members, especially the youth.

A Night of Spiritual and Cultural Delight

The highlight of the celebration was the Christmas Carol, where angelic voices filled the air with songs of hope and redemption. The event also featured a beautifully staged miracle play that vividly portrayed the nativity story, reminding attendees of the true essence of Christmas – the birth of Jesus Christ, the Savior of humanity. Adding a touch of elegance and artistry, a group of young performers graced the stage with a ballet dance, captivating the audience with their graceful movements that symbolized the joy and peace of the season.

Sister Omo, who coordinated the event, shared her thoughts on the significance of involving young people in such activities. “We are passionate about ensuring that the youth are not just spectators but active participants in celebrating and glorifying God. This season is a time of reflection and joy, and we believe guiding these kids in the right path through events like this can have a lasting impact on their lives,” she explained.

Voices of Gratitude and Inspiration

One of the participants, Pearl Ngozi Nwosu, expressed her appreciation for the opportunity to be part of the celebration. “We thank God and the church for allowing us to take part in this wonderful experience. Being in the presence of God and celebrating His love fills us with joy and gratitude,” she said.

The church’s General Overseer, Pastor Fred Obetoh, also delivered a powerful message during the event, emphasizing the importance of faith and the need to counter the distractions of modern life. “We are thrilled to see young people excited about serving God. In a world where materialism and wokeness are increasingly influencing the youth, it’s heartening to see them dedicating their talents to the Lord’s vineyard,” he remarked.

He also reflected on the meaning of Christmas, saying, “This season is a time to remember God’s immense love for us, demonstrated by the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ. Christmas is not just a holiday; it’s a joyful celebration of God’s grace and the hope He brought to the world.”

In today’s highly evolving and competitive world, the need to be smart and find the right vibe becomes imperative for anyone to survive. Ability to key into opportunities and rock solid network becomes imminent for everyone including Christians and going to churches in Sundays should only be about worshipping of God but create life changing networking experience.

Certainly, the role of a church in an individual’s life extends far beyond the act of worship, raising the question of whether your church can contribute to your personal and professional growth. Worshiping God is not confined to the physical church building, for God’s presence is believed to be omnipresent. In fact, according to religious doctrine, God has transcended the physical temple, like that of Jerusalem, and now resides within each of us, with his commandments etched into our souls.

In many cases, people attend church not only for spiritual devotion but also for the valuable opportunities it offers in terms of socialization and networking. Consider, for instance, the Catholic church near Falomo, in proximity to the Dangote Headquarters. Here, you may find a congregation that includes board members, managing directors, CEOs, and other influential figures. By consistently attending such a church for a couple of years, you may witness significant changes in your life, both personally and professionally.

What’s particularly appealing about certain churches, like the Catholic and Anglican denominations, is the quality of the congregation they attract. These churches often have a significant presence of individuals with substantial financial resources, which can provide you with valuable connections. Worshipping in such environments can lead to recognition and acknowledgment within influential circles. As an example, the CEO of Air Peace began his journey in my parish, St. Ferdinand. Even after moving on, he maintains a connection with the parish, and individuals within the congregation have secured job opportunities through their parish affiliations.

Therefore, it’s worth pondering what your church can offer you beyond the regular requests for offerings, tithes, and seeds. Can it provide you with the capacity to grow, facilitate meaningful connections, and support your business networking and development? If your church isn’t fulfilling these aspects, it might be time to explore other congregations that can better align with your goals, as doing so can foster personal and professional growth while complementing your faith with tangible actions.

Faith Cathedral International Ministry women recently held their annual festival. The two day event was held in the church auditorium, there was a seminar on Saturday and on Sunday with a Thanksgiving service tagged “Love is kind.”

Speaking during the service on Sunday, the General Overseer, Fred Obetoh said that ” there us need to have a forgiving spirit and also know that charity is love. It isn’t all about the gift of prophesy but the gift of love. God is love.”

The greatest of all is love. Jesus Christ you on earth preaches loved and he was specific that we should love our neighbor the way we love ourselves. When all the commandments are looked at, when you collapse it, it is basically love… The love of human and that if God.

“1st John 4 is clear. In this verse it clearly said that God is love. If you don’t love, you don’t have God it is as simple as that”, Fred Obetoh added.

“Many of us want to help God! We can’t help God to do anything, but all we can do is to show love and let God manifest himself. Love is sacrifice! When you love you can’t disobey God or your husband as a woman. You can’t respect your pastor more than your husband. Many women have formed the habit of respecting their pastors more than their husbands and that is a Wong attitude! They kneel in front of their pastors and don’t respect the husband and that us had and hippocrisy of the highest order”Obetoh opined.

WOMEN CONVENTION 2022 OF FAITH CATHEDRAL INTERNATIONAL MINISTRY COMES TO AN END!

John 3 VS 16,for God so love the world that he gave his only begotten son. This is to show the level of love God has for us and it is left for us to redistribute this love to others. We can’t be taking things that aren’t filled in love seriously. God’s word is love and we must follow it.

These days many of our women rarely do the right thing due to their penchant for watching what the media is dishing out. Why call your husband names etc. A Godly woman doesn’t curse either the child or the husband. People that love don’t curse. We must understand that, so for you to curse you lack love!

A godly woman must understand the term of love which is peaceful the pastor told the women. He said that Women must always show love. If you are humble, your husband will adore you. Women must show humility!

It is only a foolish woman that is troublesome! Why go for material things and not show love! Why fight for earthly things when you can show love to people by giving it out.

The Women of Destiny is the women group of the church. This group has dedicated themselves to the upliftmemt of the church and also reaching out to the members either spiritually or financially.
