{"id":8289,"date":"2022-09-06T17:08:24","date_gmt":"2022-09-06T17:08:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/techandbiz.com.ng\/tab-backup\/?p=8289"},"modified":"2022-09-06T17:09:09","modified_gmt":"2022-09-06T17:09:09","slug":"ecobank-group-launches-2022-edition-of-its-fintech-challenge-with-us50000-prize-money-up-for-grabs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/techandbiz.com.ng\/tab-backup\/2022\/09\/06\/ecobank-group-launches-2022-edition-of-its-fintech-challenge-with-us50000-prize-money-up-for-grabs\/","title":{"rendered":"Ecobank Group Launches 2022 Edition of its Fintech Challenge with US$50,000 Prize Money up for Grabs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Fintech Challenge offers early stage and mature start-ups the potential to partner with Ecobank\u00a0(<a href=\"https:\/\/ecobank.africa-newsroom.com\/press\/countlinks\/213685\/http:%7D%7Dwww.ecobank.com%7D\/website\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">www.Ecobank.com<\/a>)\u00a0across 33 African countries; Applications open until 16 September<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Pan-African banking group, Ecobank Group, has launched the fifth edition of the Ecobank Fintech Challenge and encourages African Fintech entrepreneurs to enter the competition.<\/p>\n<p>Fintechs that are aligned with the Bank\u2019s strategic objectives stand a chance to win an overall cash prize of US$50,000 for the top winner and the opportunity to partner and scale their solutions across Ecobank\u2019s 33 African markets.<\/p>\n<p>Fintech companies and developers originating from any of Africa\u2019s 54 countries, as well as global Africa-centered Fintechs, are eligible to enter the Fintech Challenge by visiting: <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3KnrDz2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">https:\/\/bit.ly\/3KnrDz2<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3AMixIM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">.<\/a> Applications can be made until the 16 September 2022.<\/p>\n<div class=\"press-quote-block col-sm-6\">\n<blockquote id=\"press-quote\"><p>Ecobank believes that the only way to transform financial services in Africa is for Pan-African banks like Ecobank to continually support and collaborate with innovative Fintechs<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<p>Ten finalists will be inducted into the Ecobank Fintech Fellowship after the finals and awards ceremony which will take place in October 2022.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, all Fellows will qualify to explore the following opportunities with the Bank and its partners:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"first\">Multinational products roll out: an opportunity to pursue integration with Ecobank and potentially launch products in all or part of Ecobank\u2019s pan-African 33-country ecosystem.<\/li>\n<li><\/li>\n<li>Service provider partnerships:\u00a0 Ecobank may select some Fintechs as pan-African service partners within the Bank\u2019s ecosystem.<\/li>\n<li>Access to Ecobank\u2019s Pan-African Banking Sandbox: Fellows will be given access to Ecobank\u2019s APIs to test and improve their products for the pan-African market.<\/li>\n<li class=\"last\">Priority Access to Ecobank\u2019s Venture Capital partners for funding exploration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ade Ayeyemi, Chief Executive Officer, Ecobank Group, said <em>\u201cEcobank believes that the only way to transform financial services in Africa is for Pan-African banks like Ecobank to continually support and collaborate with innovative Fintechs and start-ups.
