The ex-diplomat polled 304 votes to defeat two other contestants in the election held at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in the Imo State capital, Owerri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier, the coast for victory was clear for Obiozor as all 49 contingents from Ebonyi State, which included the governor, Engr. David Umahi; Minister of Science and Technology, Ogbonnaya Onu, Senator Sam Egwu amongst other political-heavy-weights voted for him.
