You walk in and it\u2019s modern but unpretentious \u2014 warm lights, breezy outdoor spots. It\u2019s the Lagos you go to when you want to breathe.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the cuisine, he added:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI expected the usual Lagos bar menu \u2014 wings, fries, and vibes \u2014 but La Belle surprised me. The seafood was actually fresh, the plating had intention, and the suya slapped like it should. It\u2019s clear they\u2019re trying to elevate the dining experience without being pretentious.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Famakin also paid homage to the cultural identity of the neighborhood:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI wore the Igbo cap as a nod to the Igbo community here. Festac has long been home to some of the wealthiest Igbo businessmen in Lagos, and that heritage shows in the food culture too \u2014 hearty meals, bold flavors, no shortcuts.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Concluding his first impressions, Famakin said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s a quiet, laid-back luxury in Festac.
